The Allarburn Farm Shop has a strong committmnent to producing the very best local produce.
The independant family business sells food from its “farm gate to customers plate.”  It continues
to thrive.  High customer demand for local fresh produce led business to move into larger
premises in 2013.

Hilary explains:

We started our farm shop as a small part of the business running it along with your dairy
doorstep delivery business.  We have since sold the dairy sector of the business and the
shop now takes the space that used to house our old creamery, where we used to
paterurise and pack our milk.  It has helped make Allarburn Farm Shop a complete
shopping experience as customers can find all the fresh local produce in one place.

“We are farmers with a farm shop.  Eighty percent of our products stocked at Allarburn
comes from Local Producers, Bakers, Butchers or from Allarburn’s own production.”

You can see pictures of our own hens, sheep, ducks, tractors, and cattle all around the
shop.  It emphasies how local we are, and shows the processes behind the produce and
helps bring the feel of the farm to Edgar Road.

Allarburn is also a major stockist of local foods from Independant, small-scale producers.  Hilary
says:

I have a real passion for local food.  There is a vast amount of excellent produce in this
area.  We provide a platform for small producers who might make beautuful chutney and
jam but who have no shop.  We’re delighted to provide an outlet for them, in turn we can
offer different, unusual, products to our customers.

Our focus in our store is to bring you the best local produce we possibly can at the best price.

Because we’re producing the goods ourselves we have full traceability and can ensure the quality
is as high as possible.

We ensure it’s a fair price for us, our producers, and for you our customers.

We make no apology for only stocking products only when in season, hence flying the flag for
good Scottish produce.
